Less pressure. More clarity. A steadier way of being.

When the pressure eases, everything shifts.

Feel Better - Live Better

For growth-minded women who are done pretending they’re fine.

The subconscious is trying to help. It's simply using an outdated map.

Discover how changing the patterns beneath the surface can help you feel calmer, think more clearly, and respond to life instead of constantly reacting to it.

Imagine waking rested, meeting challenges with calm confidence, and creating a life and career that feel aligned rather than forced.

Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.
— Brené Brown

Hi, I’m Elisabeth.

For many women, the pressure isn't always visible. It lives beneath the surface, quietly influencing how they experience daily life. ‍ ‍

It's a place I know well, and one that ultimately led me to this work.

Thriving isn’t about perfection, it’s about feeling grounded, balanced, and finally at home within yourself.

My own healing journey showed me how powerful mind-body work can be. While in a demanding teaching career, I experienced a shift that changed not only how I felt, but how I moved through life, bringing clarity, steadiness, and a sense of ease I hadn't known before.

That experience inspired me to pursue advanced training in clinical hypnotherapy and mind-body psychology, and ultimately to create MindBody Empowered.

I know that space between awareness and real change because I've lived it. It's what inspired me to dedicate my life to this work.

For me, thriving isn't about perfection. It's about feeling balanced, grounded, and finally at home in yourself.

When your inner narrative shifts, change ripples outward, into how you feel, how you choose, and how you move through your life.

Empowering Change

For a New Baseline

You’re not here because you haven’t “tried” hard enough.

You’ve read, reflected, and maybe done meaningful inner work, perhaps therapy or coaching.

You understand yourself more clearly than most.

And yet anxiety and its ripples, looping thoughts, repetitive patterns of behavior no longer serving you, and the quiet pressure to hold everything together continue to return.

Here’s the truth: you’re not “an anxious person.”
You are not broken, and you don’t need saving.

You learned to survive by carrying too much for too long.
Now your mind and body are ready for support that works in a deeper way.

Outwardly, you may appear capable, composed, and successful.
Inwardly, you are independent and deeply self-reliant, with a high threshold for asking for help.

Even when you’ve sought support, including therapy, insight may have come more easily than lasting calm.

Rest itself may feel unfamiliar, as though your nervous system has forgotten how to settle.

If you’ve found your way here, a part of you may already know something needs to shift.

This is not a failure of effort or awareness. It’s a learned pattern of sustained stress.

Meaningful change does not come from pushing harder.

It begins when the nervous system is supported in a different way, allowing calm, clarity, and emotional steadiness to emerge naturally. A deeper shift in how you experience yourself and your everyday life.

This is the work of empowering change.

Much of what we struggle with isn't immediately visible, including to ourselves.

When Logic and Willpower Aren’t Enough

I understand this space deeply.

Surface-level strategies and quick fixes rarely last. Logic and willpower alone can’t override a body and mind stuck in survival mode, which is why affirmations, meditation, or talk therapy often don’t bring the deep, lasting relief you’re hoping for.

Root & Rise is built on the understanding that lasting change doesn't come from pushing harder. It comes from working with the patterns beneath the surface.

This work supports you in gently releasing what’s been building beneath the surface, resetting long-standing responses, and accessing real calm, clarity, and confidence. Change that’s felt, not forced.

This isn’t about fixing you.
You don’t need “saving”, and you’re not broken, yet the patterns rooted in fear and worthiness can keep you from feeling calm, focused, and confident. It’s about realignment and creating sustainable change from the inside out.

Does Any of This Feel Familiar?

  • Over-carrying the load, people-pleasing, or struggling with boundaries

  • Fear, guilt, or shame loops that quietly undermine confidence

  • Overthinking, perfectionism, procrastination, or mental spiraling

  • Physical stress responses, tension, tightness, fatigue, despite “everything looks fine”

  • Anxiety or panic that appears before big moments or out of nowhere

  • Restless sleep, brain fog, or feeling drained before the day even begins

  • Pulling back socially, feeling unseen or misunderstood

  • Reaching for distractions to take the edge off, without real relief

If so, this isn’t a failure. It’s a sign your nervous system has been in survival mode for too long.

The Truth About Feeling “Stuck”

You’re not weak, you’re resourceful.
You adapted. You coped. You kept going.

Working on this deep level will help you release what’s been weighing you down and allow your body and mind to recalibrate, so calm, clarity, and confidence can become your new baseline.

Life will always bring challenges. But you don’t have to keep living in fight-or-flight.

When your inner narrative shifts, change ripples outward, into how you feel, how you choose.

And how you lead.

What Becomes Possible

  • feel centered and grounded in yourself

  • create emotional harmony and inner steadiness

  • balance work and life without constant strain

  • clearer focus, stronger confidence, and better decision-making

  • healthier boundaries, with yourself and others

  • effective stress regulation and resilience

  • improved communication and self-trust

  • navigate transitions without burnout

  • a deeper sense of contentment and ease ‍

This work isn’t about dissecting or reliving the past.

It's about creating a new baseline that finally feels like home.

“Elisabeth helped me when I was dreading a planned surgical procedure, with high projected pain levels. She taught me tools and skills to relieve my anxiety, help me relax and stay focused on self-care and practicalities before surgery, days in hospital, and after-care convalescence. It really helped me stay focused, master pain and cope calmly, and I had a shorter convalescence period than expected. Elisabeth was calm and supportive. Her approach worked for me. The tools I learned -priceless.” -T. Espaas, Trondheim

“Elisabeth has such a calm and reassuring presence, it’s easy to feel comfortable and trust her. Working with her has helped me find a deeper sense of inner peace, set healthier boundaries, and communicate more clearly. I also have a much better understanding of my own behavior patterns and emotions. Since starting with her, I feel more confident, more energized, and better equipped to handle everyday life. I warmly recommend her.”- E. Bjerke, Oslo

Vulnerability is the core of shame and fear and our struggle for worthiness, but it appears that it’s also the birthplace of joy, of creativity, of belonging, of love..

Structured Group Sessions | MindBody Empowered

Come as you are - Leave a little lighter

What to Expect

These are guided, structured experiential sessions that offer participants a supportive space to step away from the demands of everyday life and experience a quieter, more settled state of mind.

The focus is not simply on feeling better in the moment, but on creating an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and leave with practical tools that can be carried into everyday life.

What Happens

Each session begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to what participants can expect. For new groups, this includes a brief introduction to my work, an overview of the conscious and subconscious mind and their responses to stress, and what participants can expect from hypnosis, providing context for the experiential exercises that follow. Participants are also invited to ask questions before the experiential portion of the session begins. Depending on the group and setting, sessions may also include a brief reflective exercise.

Participants are then invited to engage in mindful breathing, guided relaxation, and a guided inner journey designed to quiet mental activity, reduce internal pressure, and support a greater sense of calm and wellbeing.¹

The session concludes with a gradual return to full alertness and grounding. Participants are then given a few quiet moments before returning to their day.
